the nuffnang?

Wats nuffnang?

maybe u all have not been thru the .com doom.
nuffnang reeks of a reminiscence from that era

rapid growth, awesome exposure, big names as clients, promises of change of the landscape of doing business. ppl joining in droves, extravagant parties.

Today, there are 13,000 bloggers in both countries, and Nuffnang has received publicity from all corners, having been featured on mainstream newspapers like The Star Malaysia, and The Straits Times Singapore. Thousands of bloggers have been served ads by numerous bluechip companies, such as Nike, Citibank, Nokia, F&N, Walls, AirAsia, Honda, and many more.

sure maybe the top featured blogs accounts for most ad generating traffic
did a quick check on the 10 selected bloggers and the featured blogger
mostly i found meaningless ads space on them, imagine the top tier 'stars' have no ads on display...this does not bid well!

wats with the poll? isnt it a bit too late to be getting statistics?

if i am a bluechip advertiser, i would simply lose interests in pushing ads down thru
blogs.

1.Ads that worked on conventional media, have no purpose on the net. they are just WOB (waste of bandwidth) [no making it flash animated is just an animated WOB]

2.ppl are trained to ignore ads. anyone remembers the eternal pop-up eras of IE 5

3.blogs who sold out to doing advertorials are not going to be convincing as a real advocate website

some stupid executive must be making some bad decisions for the above companies Nike, Citibank, Nokia, F&N, Walls, AirAsia, Honda, and many more.

well at least they realised they err

if this makes anyone feels better, i do have a nuffnang acct
